poetryBest Practices by Justin Marks
“Best Practices is the poetic equivalent to Funkadelic saying “Free your mind, and your ass will follow.” If you’ve ever read a book and felt inspired enough to create a bit of art, well whoop-de-damn-do. This book will inspire you move mountains with words, man! You’ll sail on seas of crisp sentences. Your manuscript may never see the light of day but in the future everyone will wish it had. Let Justin Marks be your guru, your sage. Let his senses be slapped into you.”

No Ser No. by DJ Dolack
These poems will awaken you in the middle of the night. Upon introduction you might say these poems are sparse, or minimal. You might try and go back to sleep but soon you’ll pop back up in bed to rummage through the pages. And then it hits you: No Ser No. is a one of a kind machine able to wring out what little is left of your liquid emotions. Its guts are the skyline of a set of keys to a brand new city. In an era of hemming and hawing DJ Dolack cuts through the bullshit and pulls no punches. No Ser No.. TKO.

Bye Land by Tony Mancus
Bye Land is good. Very good. So good it’d drive the pious to almost use the lord’s name in vain. Tony Mancus writes with the tension of an escape artist who dreams of staying escaped. He is the type of writer your parents warned you about: honest, ballsy, and god damned good. It is as though each sentence is flicked into your face like a freshly snuffed matchstick. Eventually a little fire flares up and the doors to Bye Land unlock and the curtains on the windows to Bye Land spread and the light from Bye Land going out overwhelms the light seeping in.
7 x 8.5 chapbook. Letterpress and hand-stamped covers. Endpaper photocopied from found images. Printed on high quality #24 copy paper in a limited edition of 90 hand numbered copies.

Legal Pure by Eric Amling
“Just try and find another writer able to create sentences as piquant and witty, as effortlessly humorous and lucid, as Eric Amling. His latest invention, Legal Pure, is a chapbook you experience – it’ll warp your sense of time like a weekend of heavy over–the–counter medication use. After reading the last poem you might look up to find yourself in a crowded subway car or in your neighbor’s basement tinkering with the water heater. Maybe your neighbor walks in guffawing because your neighbor has been reading Legal Pure, too.

Least by Jon Cone
“Jon Cone must pluck his poetic lines from mountain tops. He must store them in burlap and trek for days on end to his base of operations in the Iowa territory. Maybe nights pass. Libations are perhaps, drunk. Work days c r a w l to an end. Maybe a month passes. A year, even. What we are left with is Least - the catalog, the journal - the chronicler of this spent time. Pick it up and Least will linger to your hands like woodsmoke. Every line will threaten your breath-taking. Reading Least won’t make you rich, but then again, it will.”

Pistachio & Iris by Pinetop Deadfish
“Burnt incense swung around the room on a chain. A smell of ancient spice, grandmothers. Centuries of sweat. The women’s choir lined up. About a thousand hands clapped for a while then hushed, folded themselves together in pairs. Waited. The opening notes of Rhapsody in Blue trilled through the organ’s pipes. Ascent to lilting chords. Even as old Pistachio sat down to die in the back room of St. Agnes’ that morning in June, he could think only of the day his mother had taken him across the border to Progresso when he was 10 years old.” And so begins Pistachio & Iris: a dream so dazzlingly hypnotic you’ll feel like a teenage Calvino on his first loopy roller coaster after drinking an imported beer. When this chapbook awakens you, you’ll thank us.

Plus or Minus by Weston Cutter
“Reading Plus or Minus is like reading a letter written by a brother you never knew. These poems are infuriated by stillness. They are happening right now, yet will never seem outdated. If you shut the blinds and turn off the fan you can hear its dogs barking in the distance. Maybe a river of middle aged women spills out of a flatbed truck. Maybe every night the moon explodes, hence the sun. I don’t know. And just who is this Weston Cutter guy, anyway? Where has he been hiding? When do we all get to buy him a beer in some dusty bar on the edge of town?”
5.5 x 8.5 chapbook. Collaged, block and hand-stamped covers. Recycled map endpaper. Printed on high quality #24 copy paper in a limited edition of 90 hand numbered copies.

The Point, Or What I Cannot Recall by Tyler Flynn Dorholt
There will be a special section in Purgatory for those that have read this chapbook. Whoever is in charge will summon you and test your blood and examine your head. They will find Dorholt’s words etched into your insides and from there you will be good to go. The Point, Or What I Cannot Recall is a singular work of deep breaths, primal screams and ‘rent controlled loins’. For every mystery uncovered there is an equally mysterious reply sent from the outskirts of the page via word of mouth. He doesn’t show his heart but his veins and nervous system as well. This is your meal ticket to tomorrow. We welcome this into your home.
